A New Day

Today, marks the beginning of a new Toastmasters year and District 11 leadership. As the newly elected district director, I am excited about the coming year and the challenges ahead of us to continue building on the foundation that has been laid and those who paved the way for us.

Looking ahead, I wish to encourage newly elected club officers to:

· Focus on developing club success plans. Plans to strengthen your club and grow clubs to strengthen and sustain District 11.

· Encourage all club officers to attend both officer training sessions during the year.

· Develop strategies to recruit and retain club members through the end of the year.

· Conduct Moments of Truth to evaluate the effectiveness of club meetings and use the findings to move your club from Good to Great.

· Extend an invitation to one or more guest to visit a club meeting to learn more about Toastmasters.

· Talk up the Pathways mentoring module and encourage club members to complete the module. The first thirty individuals completing the module will be awarded a $25 gift certificate.

These are a few of the goals that can and will help build a stronger district, divisions, areas, and clubs as we dawn a new century of Toastmasters, and District 11 “builds new clubs, and support all clubs in achieving excellence.”
