Your home club is where you started your Toastmasters journey, to gain confidence and grow your skills. But there is so much more to the Toastmasters experience.

Growth happens when you step outside what’s familiar—when you visit new clubs, take on roles you’ve never tried, meet members you wouldn’t otherwise meet, and say yes to opportunities that stretch you just a little more than yesterday.

The “Step Outside Your Club” Contest is an invitation to do exactly that.

Between now and Spring Conference May 15 & May 16, you’re challenged to try something new in Toastmasters

—visit other clubs, serve in unfamiliar roles, support district events, and explore the full Toastmasters experience beyond your home club. Every action earns points. Every point represents courage, curiosity, and contribution.

This is not about being perfect. It’s about being willing.

Awards will be announced and celebrated at the Spring Conference, but the real prize is what you gain along the way: confidence, connection, and a bigger Toastmasters world.

Each Explorer level participant will receive a Certificate, a conference ribbon, and a Toastmaster Branded Shirt

Suggested Activities and Points:

1. Visit another club and give a speech. (1)

2. Visit another club and be a Toastmaster (2)

3. Visit another club and be a grammarian (1)

4. Visit another club that is outside of the district 11 (1)

5. Do a table topic master role with a never done before at your club kind of questions. (1)

6. Do a speech evaluation at another club. (1)

7. Do an educational topic at a club outside yours. (1)

8. Go to a club officer training outside the district. (2)

9. Visit three different clubs outside your home (5)

10. Volunteer for a committee for Spring Conference. (3)

11. Lead a training workshop for officer training. (2)

12. Be a part of a Club Table at Spring Conference (5 members/club) (3)

13. Volunteer to lead a workshop at the Spring Conference for (3)

14. Talked about Toastmasters to people I just met.(3)

15. Give the same speech 3 times at different clubs. (5)

16. Attend Club officer training for a role you’ve never done.(1)

17. Be an assistant Area Director for the next 3 months. (5)

18. Attend Spring Conference for the first time (5)
