Toastmasters Officer training
Toastmasters Officer Training is an annual requirement to ensure our clubs are led by confident and effective individuals. This training equips officers with the latest tools and best practices to run engaging meetings, foster a positive member experience, and achieve club goals.
By attending training each year, both new and returning officers gain the knowledge and skills necessary to support member development, boost retention, and propel the club forward.
Everyone from members, club officers, area and division directors are encouraged to attend.
Toastmasters International recommends at least four Club Officers attend this Officer Training every six months and offers one Distinguished Club Program (DCP) point toward a club earning Distinguished status or better each Toastmaster year. District 11 encourages our clubs to have all seven officers trained.

By Popular Demand, we are ADDING an Online Training session. We want to effectively reach everyone, because as you step into your positions as District Directors, Area Directors, or Club Officers, we want to remind you of the essential requirement to attend Club Officer Training.
Participating in this training not only earns your club credit toward the Distinguished Club Program and qualifies you for the new Magnificent 7 of 7 awards, but more importantly, it equips you with the skills and ideas to create an exceptional Toastmasters Club.
This year, we have designed a unique training experience. We have carefully selected experienced Toastmasters from the Leadership Outreach Team (LOT) and other distinguished members across our states. These experts will provide insights and guidance to help you make the most of your year and enhance your club experience.
Our revamped Club Officer Training will be divided into four comprehensive parts:
- A fresh look at the Distinguished Club Program.
- Innovative strategies to expand our reach using readily available Internet tools.
- Role-specific sessions where officers can learn from seasoned individuals and network with peers.
- A panel discussion to address your questions and share advice, along with an outline of new programs and ideas for the upcoming year.
The final Club Officer Training Sessions for Round 1 are listed below and are the LAST training sessions for Round 1.
These sessions, except for one, are conducted by former District Directors (and me), who recognize the significance of training your officers in club leadership. This ensures high-quality meetings that:
- Achieve and excel in the Success Plan (enhancing time management, planning, and organizing skills)
- Consistently recruit new members (fostering interpersonal skills)
- Assign meeting roles effectively (cultivating leadership abilities)
- Collect renewals and submit new officer lists promptly (administrative skills)
- Aim to deliver an outstanding experience for both members and guests (Moments of Truth)
We cannot offer any additional training classes beyond the current schedule as the deadline is August 31. It is essential to train all seven officers so that your club is eligible to receive the incentive of $25 in gift certificates.

Yes, for each training session you attend you will get credit.
You must attend a separate training session for each club office you hold.
Anyone can attend these sessions whether you are an officer or not. As a matter of fact we encourage others who have an interest in learning new things to attend.
